Shinobi: Rise & Fall
Developed with Construct 3
Shinobi: Rise & Fall is a fast-paced action game inspired by classic Ninja Gaiden games
Narrative
You play as a retired ninja assassin that is being forced back into the life he chose to leave behind for a family. But with their lives on the line, he must take up his katana once more and complete the task of taking down the head of a rival clan to secure the protection of his family.

Quick Attacks and Movement
As a ninja you're expected to be fast, so that was something I wanted players to feel in the game. Your attacks are swift and your movements are sharp. Players can attack while running and jumping with a sword, as well as throw ninja stars for ranged attacks. Agility is also something associated with a ninja, so gave the player the ability to wall-jump to reach higher areas. In later levels, players will need to use a grapple hook to cross large gaps.

Gameplay Loop
Throughout each level are enemy ninjas that you can choose to strike down or run past them to reach the elevator at the end. As you progress through the levels, the quantity of enemies increases and the traversal opportunities become more challenging. If a player falls or takes 3 hits, they die and restart the level. There are 3 levels plus one final boss level in an enclosed space. After defeating the boss, an epilogue plays, leaving things open-ended.
